About the ACO
The Adoption Council of Ontario is a not-for-profit providing outreach, support and education to all adoptees, adoptive parents, potential adoptive parents, birth families, and adoption professionals in Ontario. We deal with public adoption, private adoption, international adoption and relative adoption. Since 1987, we have been working towards a provincial community where all children have families forever.

Never Too Late
NTL works to recruit, connect, educate and train, support and advocate, in order to give back to young people who have aged out of care, the chance to have a family to rely on, no matter their age
Developmental Trauma Action Alliance
A multi-sector collective formed to improve the long-term outcomes and overall well-being of those who have experienced Developmental Trauma.
We offer training and education opportunities ranging from on-line webinars to workshops and multi-day intensive curriculums.
We offer an information line and a referral service, as well as supports to parents, parent support groups and their leaders.
We recruit families and “humans” for children and youth needing permanency; we facilitate networks for parents, adopted children, youth and adults, and communities of practice for professionals to connect.
We provide a platform for all those touched by adoption and permanency to share their perspectives, improve systems in sectors across Ontario and boost the long-term well-being of all.
